Tosch Elementary Principal & Counselor Named Finalists for 2026 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards

Tosch Elementary Principal Mahlee Johnson and School Counselor Amanda Still have been named finalists for the 2026 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards in the Elementary Principal and Elementary School Counselor categories.
Representatives from H-E-B surprised both educators by sharing the exciting news, celebrating the announcement with students, staff, and district leaders.
The H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards is one of the largest and most prestigious recognition programs for educators in Texas. The program honors teachers, counselors, principals, and school districts who demonstrate exceptional leadership, dedication, and commitment to student success.
Johnson and Still were recognized for the impact they make each day at Tosch Elementary by supporting students, empowering staff, and creating a positive learning environment for the school community.
As finalists, both educators will advance in the awards process, with winners announced later this year.
