Mesquite ISD Launches Inaugural High School Girls Flag Football Season

Mesquite ISD officially kicked off its inaugural girls flag football season on February 25 with a high-energy camp hosted in partnership with the Dallas Cowboys.
High school athletes from across the district came together to sharpen their skills and build excitement ahead of the spring season. Throughout the evening, players rotated through competitive drills and team-focused activities designed to prepare them for their first varsity campaign.
This spring marks a major milestone for MISD Athletics. Each of the district’s five traditional high schools will be represented by a varsity girls' flag football team in a Dallas Cowboys-sponsored league. MISD will compete in a district that includes Rockwall, Rockwall-Heath, Forney, and North Forney.
Mesquite ISD will host all regular-season district games, giving the community multiple opportunities to support these student-athletes during the program’s inaugural year.
The season begins March 28, launching a new era of opportunity, competition, and growth for girls' athletics in Mesquite ISD.
