Mesquite ISD Honors Exceptional Students at 2026 18 Under 18 Luncheon
Mesquite ISD celebrated its second annual 18 Under 18 program with a special luncheon on April 14, honoring eighteen outstanding students from across the district for their achievements, leadership, and future aspirations.
The 18 Under 18 program highlights not only what students are accomplishing in the classroom, but who they are becoming as future leaders, professionals, and contributors to their communities. Designed to showcase Mesquite ISD’s Career and Technical Education programs, the initiative features 18 students who represent the very best of the district’s diverse pathways and hands-on learning opportunities, preparing them for success in college, careers, and beyond.
The event brought together students, families, staff, and district leaders to recognize honorees who exemplify excellence both in and out of the classroom. Nominated by teachers and endorsed by campus principals, each student reflects the impact of a district committed to equipping learners with real-world skills and experiences.
Guests enjoyed a celebratory lunch before viewing a feature video highlighting the Class of 2026 honorees. Superintendent Dr. Ángel Rivera and Board Member Robert Seward joined district leadership in presenting each student with a commemorative award.
The program concluded with remarks celebrating not only the accomplishments of these students but also the educators, families, and community members who support their success. Honorees will also be featured in an upcoming commemorative magazine and district media releases later this spring.
