Difference Makers Celebrated at August Board Meeting

The August Board Meeting recognized two Difference Makers whose leadership and partnership are making a meaningful impact across Mesquite ISD. Trustee Kevin Carbo was honored with a special tribute in appreciation of his leadership as Board President for the 2025–26 school year. We are grateful for his continued service, leadership and commitment to Mesquite ISD students, staff and the community. Trustee Robert Seward will serve as Board President for the 2026-27 school year.
The meeting also spotlighted our August Community Partner, BJ’s Wholesale Club, for their partnership with the Mesquite ISD Education Foundation to support the district’s Elementary Attendance Incentive Program. Through the program, students who reach attendance goals will be celebrated each month at elementary campuses, helping encourage consistent attendance and recognize students for their commitment to being at school each day.
We are grateful for the leaders and community partners who continue to make a difference in the lives of Mesquite ISD students. Their support, service and commitment help strengthen our schools and create opportunities for students to thrive.
